Different Karaoke Line-up Style
I saw a post from someone in a karaoke group on facebook and they mentioned that they saw someone do this type of line up. They asked the opinion of every one in the group. I dont think I commented, but I definitely thought about it some more and I thought that would be kinda nice. You get more time on the mic, more singing in one go, it feels much more intentional.
Open mics allow their singers 5, 10, apparently sometimes 15min sets! They are up there singing forever, and they only get one turn. But when you leave an open mic you feel much more satisfied from your performance than you do at karaoke. Sometimes after karaoke at a busy night I feel like I have only staisfied my musical appetite with an appetizer. Im still ready to sing more. But after doing 2 or 3 sets of back to back songs. I feel like I have put on a whole concert 😆. But I love it. And dont think im not thinking about giving longer sets. Let's just start here for now. Get you out of that 1 song rut!
