Our Very First Canvas Challenge Winner!!

So this was at Crooked Goat Brewing in March which was the first time that I ran my canvas challenge. I only had a few painters, but I liked testing this idea with just a few people. It went so well!!

I like to have events that play well with either large or small groups. It makes my business more versatile and allows me to provide different experiences for my guests as well as myself. These ladies had such a great time and I was still able to award a cash prize eventhough we didnt make the 15 guests needed to unlock the $100 prize.

The winner attended with her mother and had never painted before and SHE WON!! She was super excited! Thats what its all about. Even if she didnt believe that she was an artist before she got there, she left there with a sense of validation…

Most sip n paints are boring, so this is what we do instead...

420 Art Lounge: $100 Canvas Challenge

Ultimately, my goal is to put together larger and larger contests for artists to include painters, singers, dancers, sculptures, writers, whatever it is that is your art. If we can build community together then we can help each other excel at our craft. Also, we put some Money on the table!! Because why not right?! I have seen people at bingo, casinos, trivia, pickle ball, we love alil competition in our events. Why else would I care about all of these other people here?! I know thats what I start thinking sometimes when I am at events. I've found that competition makes me more interested in the other person. If I am competing against you, I want to know more about you because I want to beat you. That's my initial excuse to get to know you, and its terrible! I blame Capitalism! But...maybe along the way, I find that…

SoCo Women's Social Club -- $100 Canvas Challenge

Shout Out To Makayla and the rest of the club for getting the word out about this one!!

This is the first collaboration with this club and we really didnt know what to expect as far as turn out. I have been rebuilding my paint party brand into something that feels more authentic to the experience that I can provide and I love that this has resonated with another local group. Since sales for the paint party are going well and interest on social media is up. We want to throw out a canvas challenge for guests who paint. If your putting in work to paint together, lets put some Money on the Table Ladies!! $20 to paint for a chance to will at least $100. The pot has already been made!! Bring more women and lets make it an event....maybe even a payday!!
